THE FOUNDER

CAROLINE THOMSON STARTED LIVING @ HOME WITH THE INTENTION OF TRYING TO GET SENIORS TO THINK ABOUT TAKING A PROACTIVE APPROACH TO THEIR RETIREMENT AND NOT BEING REACTIVE.

She Was SEEING SO MANY OLDER CANADIANS COMING OUT OF THE HOSPITAL POST RECOVERY FROM FALLS IN THE HOME AND MANY COULD NOT RETURN TO THEIR HOMES.

THE APPROACH THAT she is INSTILLING IN THE BUSINESS IS TO PROACTIVELY FIND SAFETY SOLUTION FOR OLDER CANADIANS SO THAT THEY CAN PREVENT THE FALL IN THE FIRST PLACE.

iT'S NEVER TOO EARLY TO START THINKING ABOUT YOUR SAFETY AS YOU AGE

Caroline Physiotherapist

Caroline Thomson BSc (Hons)

Head of Physiotherapy & Co-Founder

Caroline brings over 25 years of Physiotherapy experience to Living @ Home.  She began her career working for the NHS in the UK for 16 years, specializing in neuro rehab before moving to Canada where she continued her career with a focus on geriatric and seniors rehab physiotherapy.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, Caroline was on the front line of the in-home community care for older adults who were needing to rehabilitate from falls or unforeseen medical conditions.  It was at that time that she saw the volume of older adults that were often not able to return to their homes after having had a fall and she realized that there needed to be a better way of treating this issue.  From there, Living @ Home Ltd was born, with the intention of providing proactive services for seniors to help prevent falls and maintain independence in the home.

Caroline loves doing crafts with her two teenage daughters.  She also enjoys travelling to new and exciting places in the world to experience new cultures, try exotic cuisine and see what else the world has to offer.
