At Home Physiotherapy
Our Physiotherapists specialize in helping older adults with balance, mobility, respiratory and neuro physio rehab. Just had a surgery and need to get back to your best?
Give our in-home physio services a try in the comfort of your own home. Physiotherapy is proven to help mobility and balance, even if you have not had a fall or surgery, having a personalized physio session on a semi-regular basis can help you avoid falls and help maintain your balance and health.
Free Falls Prevention Seminar
We are here to help with free advice and recommendations on how to make your home safer.
If you have a condo group, sports team, community group or any other regular gathering and would like Living @ Home to come and present a free 30 or 60 min presentation on how to prepare your home for aging in place, please feel free to reach out to us today.
Home Safety Assessment
Do you have a family member living alone and you are concerned about their safety? Make life easier for you and your loved ones with ergonomic solutions that makes navigating their home easier and safer.
We can provide registered Occupational and Physiotherapists to their home to do a full safety assessment and give advice and recommendations of changes that can help prevent falls that could land them in the hospital, or force them to lose their independence. We then work with you to find the right equipment you need and find trusted installation experts.
Chat Companions
Our new service, Chat Companions, offers a unique opportunity for seniors to engage in enjoyable and enlightening conversations from the comfort of their own home.
This service is perfect for dementia/Alzheimer's patients who have good long term memory or for the loved one who may live alone and is looking for social interaction. Perhaps you were an electrical engineer or an executive at a bank or major company when you were younger? Whatever your topic of choice, we can have robust discussion about any of these subjects, just let us know what you or your loved one would like to talk about.
All sessions are done via video chat with a live moderator.
Assisted Device Program
This government funded program helps people with disabilities pay for customized equipment, such as wheelchairs, personal walkers and hearing aids. To find out if you qualify for this program, please go to the Ontario government website (click here) and review the qualifications.
Living at Home Ltd has ADP certified physiotherapists who can work with you and the vendors to put forward your application.
Free Equipment Delivery
We offer free home delivery (within the GTA) for any equipment purchased from Living @ Home. We will work with you to find a time and date that is convenient for you to receive the equipment and bring it right to your door
Installation Recommendations
We can help (at no cost to you) find a qualified professional installation team that can ensure that you get your safety equipment installed correctly.
Follow Up Visits
We will keep a record of your initial visit and can come back to assist you at any time in the future should your needs change or you need help in practicing to use the equipment.
Strength & Balance Training
Even if you are not recovering from surgery or illness, regular strength and balance training with a registered physiotherapist can help you manage on your feet better as you age.
